IPRoyal, one of the leading players in the proxy industry, recently introduced some significant changes to its service. The most obvious one is the new website design and logo. However, the changes include some new features and price changes for the entire lineup of IPRoyal products.
New Design
The most obvious change is the new visual identity and a full website redesign. The recognizable IPRoyal crown is still there, but with a different color palette and a more contemporary look. According to IPRoyal’s lead designer, it reflects the values IPRoyal has always stood for – transparency, growth, and expertise.
The website now has an entirely revamped homepage, focusing on ethical proxy sourcing rather than affordable service. There’s also a brief overview of each proxy type and the key advantages IPRoyal offers.
One thing that wasn’t there before is a direct pricing comparison with other proxy providers, covering everything from pricing to unique advantages like non-expiring residential traffic.
New Features
The website and logo are not the only change. Along with the overhaul, IPRoyal introduced some new features:
Residential proxy data usage reports – With this feature, clients get a clear overview of how they spent their traffic and which websites they visited, all in a convenient CSV file.
Mixed subnets – Datacenter, static residential, and sneaker proxy plans now have the option of using proxies from different subnets, so clients don’t have to worry about subnet-wide bans.
High-end IP pool – Residential proxy users can turn on the “high-end pool” option in the dashboard to use only the best and fastest proxy servers available.
Bigger residential proxy pool – IPRoyal is mostly known for its unique global network of residential proxies, which has recently reached two million unique IPs.
New Prices
Finally, it’s time to look at the new prices. Before these changes, IPRoyal’s pricing made it one of the most affordable proxy providers in the market. While the new prices might turn away some clients, IPRoyal’s services still offer excellent value. Here are the changes:
Old Starting Price | New Starting Price | Increase | |
Residential proxies | $4 per GB | $7 per GB | 75% |
Datacenter proxies (30 days) | 5 proxies for $7.5 | 5 proxies for $9 | 20% |
Sneaker proxies (30 days) | $1.6 per proxy | $1.8 per proxy | 12.5% |
Static residential proxies (30 days) | $2.5 per proxy | $2.7 per proxy | 8% |
Not everything has changed, though. You can still get 4G mobile proxies at $90 per month. It’s also important to note that IPRoyal still has generous bulk discounts for all services. Hence, buying more traffic or subscribing for extended periods will make the transition easier.
The Takeaway
IPRoyal’s new appearance looks fantastic, and the new features definitely provide additional advantages and convenience for most existing and new clients. On the other hand, the pricing changes may raise an eyebrow or two. However, even with new pricing, IPRoyal still offers affordable proxy services with one of the best price/quality ratios on the market.
